Informationmanagement at universities

Optimization and competition of the information structure influence stakeholders and actors at libraries, media and data processing centres. The sponsorship of the DFG "Leistungszentren für Forschungsinformation" that had been started in 2002 has aided the discussion in the field of "Integrated information management-Integriertes Informationsmanagement" and "Digital text- and datacentres-Digitale Text- und Datenzentren" clearly. The DINI-AG Informationsmanagement attends and assists the process of discussion, particularly in "Integrated Informationmanagement", that is one of the central themes of DINI. After a stage of finding a strategy and target appropriate activities in scope of different models have been started at a number of universities. That uncovers chances and difficulties that result from praxis. In this context belong aspects, that refer to motivation for the relevant measures, to the character of implementation and of the success at the user. To introduce the performed approaches to a wide professional public and to discuss about it, is the case of the yearly workshops of the DINI-AG.
